Like all of our other tournaments, this prize pot will scale up, so encourage more teams to show up, and you will see more money, and it will be paid out to more teams. Get to 64 teams and the top 8 win something!

But thats not the most exciting part, the winning team earns 6 tickets to insomnia46! Our summer LANs are the Mecca of TF2 globally – last summer our tournament was the biggest ever seen and we look to repeat this at insomnia46 in 2012.

    i45 - Asus Overclocking Masters UK @ i45

    January 20th, 2012 No comments

Overclocking is all about getting something for nothing. It’s about making impossible speed, possible. To celebrate the dark art of the overclocking, the world’s leading component manufacturer has teamed up with Multiplay, Kingston Technology and KitGuru to invite the best of the best from the world of overclocking to step up and be measured.

Entry is quick and easy and won’t cost you a penny. In a nutshell, simply run CPU-Z on your PC at standard clocks, and again when overclocked.

Then, send your CPU-Z scores to asuscompetitionatkitgurudotnet and the 12 biggest percentage increases will be invited to a shoot out!

It is all based on the PERCENTAGE increase you can achieve – not the overall top speed. So a guy with a 1GHz processor that he clocks to 2GHz, will beat someone who takes a 2GHz CPU up to 2.4GHz. The 100% O/C achieved by overclocker number 1 will beat the 20% achieved by the second overclocker.

At the regional finals, held in February, each winner will receive NVIDIA GTX 560 and will also be invited to ASUS Overclocking Masters UK Grand Finals.

The Grand Final itself will happen at our Insomnia45 event at the Telford International Centre on 4th – 7th May 2012.

The winner of the Grand Final will be crowned as the UK’s Top Overclocker for 2012 and will walk away with an ARMY of prizes from ASUS, Kingston Technology, Intel, NVIDIA and BeQuiet.

    Good Luck!

    • Started attending at i27, felt like a member of the Multiplay family ever since. The events are a pretty big part of my year. Feel lost if I cannot make it. It’s just a laugh from start to end! You won’t regret it!
