Technical Stuff
Of course! There is a whole host of etailers and shops that attend the iSeries, providing you with the latest and greatest hardware when you need it.
To find out who is attending an event, head over to our Sponsors & Exhibitors page!
In theory, yes this is fine! However, we reserve the right to ask you to terminate this, and we may block these sorts of activities should we find the bandwidth being saturated.
Our network is very fast n stuff.
The core network can route/filter/forward 48 million packets per second with 64Gbps non-blocking bandwidth and is interconnected with multiple gigabit links.
It's almost entirely powered by Extreme Networks kit, with edge switches being a mixture of brands.
Our network is the result of long and hard work with continuous heavy investment, and we're proud of it. Built ourselves from the ground up, all our network hardware is owned by us meaning that it is highly bespoke and optimised for gaming.
No, we do not operate a wireless network in the event.
There is a wireless network in operation in the exhibition hall, however this is for Press only.
Game servers can be setup for any game that we have on-site. Provided there aren't any technical issues or exclusivity issues, we host servers for just about everything!
The rule of thumb is that if it's a product available on our Gameservers website then we're able to host it at an event.
Yep! If you are having any technical problems at the event, check out the Help Desk page for the most common issues we get at the events.
Failing that, you can connect to the #helpdesk channel on the event IRC (there is a web version of IRC on the Help Desk page that will connect you)
They are the fine examples of human beings wearing staff shirts!
Most of the Crew at the iSeries are awesome volunteers who are broken up into several teams, each with their own coloured Multiplay shirts.
The teams are as follows:
Blue Polo Shirts: Event Management
Made up of the full-time staff of Multiplay, the Blue Management Team is ultimately in charge of running the whole event!
Red Shirts: Tournament Management
These hard working troopers are the responsible for running all our world class tournaments! They work tirelessly day & night, so be nice to them :)
Yellow Shirts: Power & Network Helpdesk
Not only do the Yellow team setup all the power & network for the whole LAN, but they also run the Help Desk, helping you fix any issues you're having!
Blue Shirts: Network & Server Infrastructure
The elusive Blue team work throughout the weekend to keep all the game servers & infrastructure up and running for you to play on without interruption
White Shirts: Check-in & Event Admin
The back-bone of the event, the White team keep run all the administration, check-in, tuck-shops and raffle!
Purple Shirts: Coverage Team

Well, we don't know yet! i43 will be our first event at the International Centre, so this will be our first setup at the venue. However, we expect it will take about 2 days!
Our setup team includes an army of awesome volunteers, who help us make each event happen. You can read more about the team on our Event Crew page.
You can also read more about the Insomnia LAN, how it came to be and how we run it on our Insomina Information page.
