Congratulations to WinFakt.lol for winning the LoL tournament! They played a thoroughly entertaining match with 4Kings, who haven’t made a stage appearance for a number of events.

WinFakt have probably been the strongest team throughout the tournament and with the shock exit of LowLandLions in the Double Elimination Upper Final, all eyes were on them to succeed. 4Kings as you may remember, started off as a Counter-Strike 1.6 team many years ago and whilst they hadn’t graced the stage for so long, there was a big crowd rooting them on to win!

WinFakt.lol were already 1-0 up due to winning the Upper Final against LowLandLions. 4Kings needed to win 2 matches to win the tournament – and whilst they may not have won, they certainly didn’t an average performance into this game!

4Kings throughout the first round were extremely competitive and seemed to always attack as a team, giving them the strength to take out WinFakt.lol’s players easily one by one. A lot of turrets were taken out by 4Kings and after more than 40 minutes, 4Kings won the first round and made it 1-1.

On the second round, 4Kings made a great start – it did look like that they could win the tournament. By taking out 3 of WinFakt.lol’s players, it looked like this was going to be anybody’s game. However, it wasn’t long before WinFakt.lol pushed back into control, taking out 4King’s players similar to what happened to WinFakt.lol in the first round. Sadly, 4Kings couldn’t progress much further due to the lack of their defense and WinFakt.lol used this to their advantage to win this round and the tournament with a final result of 2-1.

WinFakt.lol won £3,600 and 4Kings took home £1,500 – not forgetting LowLandLions (previous i-series winners of the League of Legends tournament 3 times in a row) who took third place and won £900.

A big well done to our winners here at insomnia45, and for all those who took part.

In the League of Legends tournament, there have been no major upsets yesterday. The group stages are complete and Round 1 of the Double Eliminations are starting now.

Deman and Joe will be casting LowLandLions vs MMUGG shortly on Stream 2.

Its so close you can taste it! Insomnia45 is only 2 days away, and the buzz is in the air already. All over twitter the craziness has already begun! Use the hashtag #insomnia45 when chatting about the event, and spread the word!

For those of you that cannot make it this weekend, we feel your pain, but all is not lost! We will be streaming so much video content from the event you won’t know what to watch!

As usual we will be hosting a live stream all weekend long of the main stage. This is the premier channel where you will find all of the tournament grand finals, along side other awesome activities like the Friday Night party, the “Classy“ Pub Quiz and the Asus Overclocking Masters UK Grand Final.

Event Live Streams

• League of Legends will be our premier tournament stream this time around, with top casters Deman and Joe Miller bringing you all of the hottest action from the LAN tournament. Already with the online qualifiers we have “Western Wolves” and Winfakt.lol showing themselves to be contenders, this should be one to watch!
• Starcraft 2 will also be streaming all day Saturday and Sunday, and will see some of the best UK SC2 talent head to head in one of the biggest E-Sports in the world.
• Counter Strike Source will be viewable via SourceTV throughout the weekend, you will find the details on this site closer to the kick off. Then enjoy the grand final casted by Joe Miller and Gonzo on Sunday!
• Team Fortress 2 will have a video stream all weekend, hosted by VanillaTF2, hosts of last summer’s TF2 extravaganza!
• Modern Warfare 3 (Xbox) will be streamed live all weekend by our friends at the Warped Gaming League by Rel and Goochhyy, and if Mana recovers from his injury he might be able to get involved too!
• Fighting Games will be taking place all day Saturday and Sunday, and Unequalled Media are providing a full weekend of awesome fighting action, from Super Street Fighter IV AE to King of Fighters XIII you will not be disappointed!
• We have a fully featured Minecraft stream all weekend! Featuring Minecraft masters Wol and bacon, you can tune in and find out how all of our Minecraft competitions are going, like the spleef, parkour and “Hunger Games” and follow the progress of the Minecraft Creative Competition – where people build simply EPIC THINGS in one single weekend.
• Call of Duty 4 will have the grand final streamed live to the world, and will be brought to you via Deman and A_Spec, to bring you one of the longest running tournaments of the iSeries!
• We’ll also be streaming Fifa 12 this event, with the 1v1 stream taking place on Saturday, and then 2v2 on Sunday.
• We also have some Battlefield 3, with the grand final taking place in our finals arena and live streamed on our main channel! Dignitas’ very own Dogbert will be your host for this one.

There will be so much awesome action happening this weekend that even if you’re not attending insomnia45, you can watch all of the action right here when the stream goes live!

We have wrapped up another of our online qualifier tournament and have more Insomnia45 ticket winners! The top 2 teams receive 5 tickets each to attend our Spring event and qualify past the group stages of the LAN tournament.
