Insomnia Opening Ceremony
The Grand Opening Ceremony will take place in the Live Finals Arena on Friday afternoon, so join Wizzo as he launches the event, gives away epic amounts of free stuff from our exhibitors and of course gives you the chance to get your mitts on some awesome prizes!
Tournaments
The Insomnia Festival is home to some of biggest gaming tournaments in the UK, offering huge cash prizes & goodies galore! To find out more about our competitive tournaments, head on over to our tournaments page! Information on fun tournaments will be posted closer to the event.
Finals Arena
The Finals Arena is where all the action happens throughout the weekend! All tournament finals, the pub quiz, talks, interviews and matches will be in the Finals Arena throughout the event, all streamed out live to Fileplay!
Exhibition Hall
Not only can you come to the Insomnia Gaming Festival to compete in tournaments, but you can also head down to the Exhibition hall where Industry leaders will be hosting talks, demo’s and free to play tournaments throughout the weekend!
Arcade Zone
The Multiplay Arcade Zone will be in the Exhibition Hall throughout the weekend, with some awesome old skool Arcade Machines to blast your way through, including Time Crisis 4, Namco’s Dance Stage Fusion or 4 player GRID Racing! Nice.
With 20+ New and Retro gaming machines available to use for the small price of a tenner a day, that’s £10 for an entire days worth of arcade AWESOMENESS.
World Famous i-Series Pub Quiz
The world famous i-Series Pub Quiz will be back once again on Saturday night on the main stage! Have you got what it takes to win? Well, knowledge seems to come a close second when it comes to requirements of winning, you clearly just need a massive team…
The Boat Race
The tradition of the Boat Race at the i-Series has been upheld since 1887, and still continues to this day. With the customary Staff vs Punters line up, this is the one tournament you have no chance of winning.
The World Famous i-Series Raffle
This isn’t just any raffle, this is the World Famous i-Series Raffle. With thousands of pounds of kit up for grabs at every event, you need to ensure you give yourself a fighting chance of getting your mitts on some of the hardware that our sponsors generously provide!
Eve Meet
Now a staple feature of the i-Series, Wizzo will once again be hosting his Eve meet for all those obsessed with the insanely huge space MMO.
BarCraft
BarCraft combines the watch-ability of StarCraft 2 with the pleasant and social surroundings of a public house or bar.
With comfortable seating, themed drinks and unlimited StarCraft 2 on our big screens, it will be hard to resist!
Multiplay Stand
We will once again be running our own stand in the exhibition hall, with free to play gaming areas, some fighting genre tournaments, plus some extra surprises! More information will be posted during the event, so keep your eye on the site!

Costume Competition
Part of the Friday night party we will be holding a costume competition for all you budding Cosplay creative’s out there.
The costume theme will be “Game Characters” and prizes will be given for creativity and originality
